There’s no road, that ain’t a hard road.

So here I am. Its November 18th and I'm right under three weeks from my EAS (End of Active Service). I find myself procrastinating on every little thing with regards to checking out. Including this post, more later, maybe.

Sometimes nothing can be a pretty cool hand.

Luke: Anybody here? Hey, Old Man. You home tonight? Can You spare a minute. It's about time we had a little talk. I know I'm a pretty evil fellow... killed people in the war and got drunk... and chewed up municipal property and the like. I know I got no call to ask for much... but even so, You've got to admit You ain't dealt me no cards in a long time. It's beginning to look like You got things fixed so I can't never win out. Inside, outside, all of them... rules and regulations and bosses. You made me like I am. Now just where am I supposed to fit in? Old Man, I gotta tell You. I started out pretty strong and fast. But it's beginning to get to me. When does it end? What do You got in mind for me? What do I do now? Right. All right.
[Gets on knees, closes eyes and begins to pray]
Luke: . On my knees, asking.
[Peeks up with one eye, waits. Then opens eyes and crosses arms]
Luke: . Yeah, that's what I thought. I guess I'm pretty tough to deal with, huh? A hard case.
[Clicks tongue]
Luke: . Yeah. I guess I gotta find my own way.

The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.

I don't usually like just posting a bunch of videos on a blog but this one is important, Voter registration in California must be postmarked or turned in to you local registration office by October 30th. This is the most important election in may of your lifetimes, there is no reason to not vote. If I find you complaining about the state of things or the new president after this election, and you didn't vote, then consider yourself registered for a bat to the face. Vote fool.

So here I am again, its been well over a year since I last posted. I guess I gave up on the whole blogging thing, didn't have the patience for it mostly. Lately I have been drawn to the whole idea, I think it will be a good outlet and at least mildly therapeutic. I'm not sure what I want to discuss and what I want to get into on here just yet, the whole Iraq thing is like a shadowy black spectre hanging over my life and I might need some time and distance from the whole ordeal before I dive into those memories and stories. I feel like there should be a grand telling of my combined adventures but a book seems pretentious to me, as though so many other more worthy authors could tell a better tale. Who would even want to read my blog let alone my book? Regardless, stay tuned for more posts, I will be updating everyone on the current goings on in my life.
